whitney & scott

A few months back I did some studio pictures for Scott & Whitney so that they would have a picture for the paper. I had a great time with them then which made me look forward to shooting their actual engagement pictures. We had a BEAUTIFUL day for it!! Scott & Whitney are a very FUN couple...I laughed a lot while taking the pictures...they are not afraid to be goofy at all!!! I always love when the couples I shoot really show their true colors! Scott & Whitney also enjoy biking together...so they wanted me to do a few shots of them in their gear with their bikes! I LOVE ideas like that! I also have the opportunity of shooting their wedding in two weeks...I CAN'T wait!!

Yesterday I shot Heather & Eric's engagment pictures in Ft. Wayne. Not only were they a great couple to shoot...but it was also fun to have a change in location!! They were really relaxed and trusting...which I LOVE!!! I was really excited about a lot of their pictures...I think they turned out great!!! I look forward to their wedding in the fall!! This is my mom! I decided to make a post about her because her birthday is Sunday!!!! She's going to be 28...at least that's what she'll tell her 1st graders...and they always believe her!
These pictures I took are from a few months back when I was home in Michigan...I went into my mom's class to visit her and her students...they were all dressed up as cowboys...I'm not really sure why, but they were. It was really fun to capture my mom in teacher mode! I really enjoy seeing her with her students...she's very silly...but more than that, you can really see how much she cares for each student and how much she loves what she does. I think it takes a special person to do what she does...and yes...she is very special!!! Happy Birthday Mom!!! I LOVE YOU!

new look

I'm in the process of changing the look of Shelly Valentine Photography. I've been meaning to do this for a little while now...but just needed a little push! Thanks to Bobbi for helping me out! I'm very excited about this new look and wanted to get some feedback!

chris & libby

I had a really great time shooting Chris & Libby's engagement session! They couldn't have picked a more beautiful day!!!! At first I think they were a little apprehensive about getting their picture taken...but in the end realized how painless and fun it can actually be! I absolutley love Libby's beautiful smile!!! And they both have gorgeous baby blues!! I look forward to your wedding in October!

Josh & Misty are one of our few (maybe only) friends that love their dog as much as we love ours! So last night we decided to make a play date with our dogs and also do a little photo shoot of Conan! Look how cute he is!!!

snow on april 14th!!!!

Last Saturday I tagged along with the Carpenters as they shot Matt & Kristen's wedding.
Here it is...middle of April and we are being PELTED by SLEET!! What in the world! Matt & Kristen still had a beautiful wedding day! And they were even willing to do a few shots outside!!!
The Carpenters have recently made the switch from Nikon to Canon! I just tagged along in case they had any questions...and because we thought it would just be fun to work together...it was!! Here are a few images...enjoy!
